Sarah speaks on firing of stylist, makeup artist
MANILA, Philippines – Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo admitted that she cried after reading an article alleging that her mother was the reason her stylist and makeup artist for seven years were fired.
The October 2012 issue of YES! Magazine cited a source saying Geronimo’s mom Divine dropped the singer’s makeup artist Jing Monis and stylist Eric Pe Benito because of their supposed “allegiance” to actor Gerald Anderson.

Monis denied the report, saying the only reason he and Sarah parted ways was because he has become busy managing his own salons. But Pe Benito confirmed that he was removed as the Geronimo’s stylist soon after the singer’s birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum last July.
Speaking before reporters on Tuesday, Geronimo said the whole thing was just blown out of proportion and that it was a case of miscommunication.
“Alam niyo mahal ko po ang mga taong 'yun. 'Yung utang na loob ko sa kanila, hinding hindi mawawala 'yun. Never po naming gagawin sa pamilya namin, lalo na kami ng nanay ko na magpapa-ban kami ng mga tao. Sino ba naman po kaming mga powerful na tao para magpa-ban? Mahal po namin sila,” she said.
Geronimo said she is clueless as to how this issue came about.
“Katulad po ng sinabi ko kanina, misunderstanding po at miscommunication po itong nangyayari. Sana one day, maupuan namin para mapag-usapan po ang issue na ito,” she said.
Geronimo said she did not expect to read the accusations mentioned in the magazine feature.
“Siyempre masakit noong nabasa ko 'yung magazine. Napaluha ako kasi never ko in-expect na magkakaganoon. Out of nowehere nagkaganoon. Parang anong nangyari? Paano nangyari ito?” she asked.
Geronimo is still hoping to iron things out with all the affected parties.
“As long as hindi naman po totoo and clear naman po ang conscience namin, ng buong pamilya, walang dapat ikabahala. Ang kailangan lang po, personal na mag-usap usap para maayos ang friendship na mayroon po kami,” she said.
Meanwhile, the "Sarah G Live" star kept mum whether her third movie with Anderson will still push through, saying she is just waiting for an official announcement from Viva Entetainment and Star Cinema.
