MANILA, Philippines – “Love has no gender.”

This is what television host and comedian Vice Ganda believes in when asked about his thoughts on love.

Speaking on “The Buzz” on Sunday, Vice Ganda said he personally values his stand on love because he already proved it himself.

“[For me] love has no gender kasi ako napatunayan ko na ‘yan eh. Ang pagmamahal, walang nakikitang kasarian. Kaya kong magmahal ng lalaki na mahal na mahal ko and at some point ng buhay ko, nagmahal din ako ng babae,” he explained.

In the upcoming Star Cinema movie “This Guy’s In Love With You Mare,” Vice Ganda plays Lester, a gay man who feigns romantic interest in Gemma (Toni Gonzaga), to take revenge on her for "stealing" his boyfriend Mike (Luis Manzano).

And just like his character in the Wenn Deramas-directed film, Vice Ganda said he thinks he is also capable of doing anything just to fight for the love of his life.

“Kahit nga po pumaslang pa eh. Joke lang. Siguro po, oo. Kasi siyempre kapag desperado ka na, kapag sobrang mahal mo 'yung tao tapos hindi mo kayang pakawalan, parang lahat yata magagawa mo, maliban na lang 'yung pagpaslang talaga,” he explained.

Produced by Star Cinema and Viva Entertainment, "This Guy" is the follow-up big-screen outing of Deramas to the all-time highest-grossing local film "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," which also starred Vice Ganda.

Also starring Gladys Reyes, Edgar Mortiz, Tessie Tomas, Buboy Garovillo and Carla Martinez, "This Guy's In Love With You Mare" will hit theaters nationwide on October 10.
