MANILA – Alisah Bonaobra is not taking no for an answer. She proved this when she got eliminated at Bootcamp of “The X Factor UK.”
But instead of leaving the stage when the judges decided not to let her through to the next round, Bonoabra tearfully pleaded with them to give her a second chance.
While talking to judge Nicole Scherzinger on the side of the stage, Bonaobra suddenly belted out a portion of Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together” that caught Simon Cowell’s attention.
“Based on what you’ve done there, from what I can hear, we are going to give you a pass on this one,” Cowell said, granting Bonaobra’s plea.
Grateful for the opportunity, the Filipina singer did not disappoint the next time she came out on stage to perform a solo number.
This time, Bonaobra sang “Defying Gravity” from the musical “Wicked” that definitely impressed the judges.
After her rousing performance, the judges finally decided to send Bonaobra to the Six Chair Challenge.
