She's determined to fulfill her dream of directing her own movie.
And Miles Ocampo is doing everything she can to make that happen, even if it meant braving through a workshop led by screenwriting guru Ricky Lee with very little experience under her belt.
In an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" Thursday, Ocampo, who is currently taking up a course in Malikhaing Pagsulat at University of the Philippines, talked about what it was like to have her own work critiqued by Lee.
Asked about what kind of movie she would come up with if given her first break, the young actress said that she would like to focus on the theme of friendship and moving on.
It appears to be a topic close to Ocampo's heart, as someone who started in showbiz as a kid and saw the friends she made go their separate ways.
She was prodded about this, and was asked about what happened to her friendship with her showbiz best buddies, "Goin' Bulilit" batchmates Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes.
Fans noticed that she isn't as close to the two as before.
"I guess iyong time naging sobrang busy lang po talaga si Kathryn at ate Julia, sobrang dami nilang projects na ginawa. And ako din naman po, naging busy din dahil bumalik ako sa school. So I guess, iyong time lang talaga ang nawala," she explained.
Ocampo was on the late-night talk show to promote her movie, the Regal Films horror flick, "The Debutantes." It also stars Sue Ramirez, Chanel Morales, Michelle Vito and Jane De Leon.
