MANILA, Phippines – Actor Phillip Salvador’s counsel Raul Lambino slammed a court decision denying the actor's petition for inclusion in the list of voters of Pandi, Bulacan due to lack of jurisdiction.
"This is the remedy of the law in cases when there are intervenors in the electoral process. Maling mali ang judge dyan," Lambino said.
Pandi judge Snooky Sagayo issued the decision on Thursday, casting more uncertainty in Salvador's quest to run as vice governor of vote-rich Bulacan.
The Commission on Elections Registration Board previously ruled that the actor was not qualified to run due to questions about his residency in Pandi, Bulacan.
His residential house was found to be registered under a bank and not under his name.
