MANILA, Philippines - Is actor Dingdong Dantes moving to Kapamilya network?

After doing the hit horror film "Segunda Mano" with ABS-CBN star Kris Aquino, the showbiz grapevine is abuzz with speculations that Dantes might transfer to ABS-CBN, especially after actor Derek Ramsay decided to leave the Kapamilya network.

But a source told ABS-CBNnews.com that the issue is far from being true.

"No. Ako na ang magsasabi na malayong mangyari yon," the source said.

Aside from "Segunda Mano," Dantes is set to star in another movie under ABS-CBN's film production outfit.

Dantes will be part of the film "One More Try" with Kapamilya stars Angelica Panganiban and Angel Locsin, who was also a former GMA Network talent before her transfer in 2007.

The film, to be directed by Ruel Bayani, is an entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

Currently, Dantes is promoting his co-produced film "Tiktik: The Aswang Chronicles" with Kapamilya artists Janice de Belen and Joey Marquez.

Dantes said it was really his dream to become a producer but this doesn't mean that he will turn his back from acting.

"Alam niyo mas naintindihan ko at minahal ko nga 'yung trabaho ko dahil dito kasi hindi siya madali. I mean almost all my life in this career ay may producer ako at ginagawa ko 'yung trabaho na pinapagawa nila sa akin. So nakita ko kung gaano kakumplikado, kung ano ang pinagdadaanan nila at dahil na-experience ko na (ang pagiging producer), mas hindi ko na babalewalain (ang acting)," he said.
