MANILA – Teen stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla seem to be unfazed by the most recent intrigue to rock their tandem.

Padilla has been tagged as one of the persons allegedly in an audio clip making fun of unidentified people. In the audio clip, a male person, whose voice resembles Padilla’s, also talked about receiving a text message from a girl that seemed to excite him.

Before the clip ended, one of the boys in the recording also said: “Wala na si Patrick. Wala nang mangugulo sa 'kin. Wala na ‘yung tropa ni Sam.”

While no one could actually be seen in the secretly recorded clip, some netizens immediately speculated that the voice in the clip indeed belongs to Padilla.

Some netizens also believe that the “Sam” referred to in the audio recording was Sam Concepcion, the current boyfriend of Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

Padilla and Curtis-Smith are co-stars in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Bonifacio: Ang Unang Pangulo.”

But Padilla just laughed off the controversy when confronted by “The Buzz” at the recently concluded Bench fashion show on Saturday. Padilla even challenged his detractors to do their best in ruining his career.

“Gusto ko lang sabihin na ituloy niyo lang iyan. Galingan niyo,” he said.

Before the fashion show, Bernardo also posted a picture of her with Padilla, which the captioned “Best guy ever.”

Concepcion, on the other hand, refused to comment on the matter.

“I’m sorry. It’s not for me to answer or talk about. Yeah definitely [Jasmine and I are okay]. Sorry I really can’t talk right now. I have to go,” he told “The Buzz.”

While Curtis-Smith has yet to comment on the issue, her sister Anne Curtis came to her defense when an Instagram user labeled the “Transit” actress a “slut.”

“You know nothing sweety. My sister is not a slut… Such harsh words from someone who doesn’t know her or probably has never met her,” Curtis told the Instagram user.

Amid the controversy, Padilla suddenly took to his Twitter account to thank his fans who continuously support him.
