MANILA – Actress Toni Gonzaga’s boyfriend, Paul Soriano, is a perfectionist as a film director.
Gonzaga, who is part of Soriano’s independent movie, “A Journey Home,” shared that Soriano had scolded her once during shooting after she made a joke that did not sit well with the young director.
“Retake [siya] ng retake. Perfectionist. Minsan sabi ko, ‘Okay na kasi yan.’ Nag-comment lang ako ng ganoon, natalakan ako. Sabi niya, ‘Kapag ibang director ba nagrereklamo ka? [Sabi ko], ‘Joke lang. Sensitive,’” Gonzaga told “The Buzz.”
"A Journey Home,” is presented by Jubilee Evangelical Church and Youth For Christ. It also stars Soliman Cruz and Joem Bascon.
Meanwhile, Gonzaga confessed that she and Soriano are already discussing marriage, but she said they are not tying the knot anytime soon.
“Siyempre napag-uusapan iyon kasi siyempre hindi na naman ako bata. Pero hindi pa sa ngayon kasi marami pang mga opportunities. Marami pang trabaho, ” she said.
Gonzaga is also filming a comedy movie under Star Cinema where she is paired with Sam Milby.
Soriano admitted that when he and Gonzaga first got together he got jealous of her leading men.
“I think it was inevitable. Not just Sam but also the rest of the guys... but you know what, it was kind of jealousy na hindi galit. It was more, ‘Bakit ganyan?’ But she explained [it] to me. She told me how it works. And now okay na,” Soriano said.
Gonzaga confirmed that Soriano is already “well briefed” that is why he doesn’t get jealous anymore.
“Sinimulan ko ng pagpapanood ng ‘You are the One,’ ‘You Got Me’ para maintindihan niya. Dapat niyang tanggapin otherwise may journey home ka,” she said in jest.
