MANILA, Philippines – The “American Idol” fever is not going to die down anytime soon as the season 11 top 10 finalists toured Metro Manila malls to give their fans the chance to see them up-close.

The top 10 Idols attended separate meet-and-greet sessions on Wednesday, two days ahead of their much-awaited concert at the Araneta Coliseum on September 21.

Erika Van Pelt, Elise Testone, Deandre Brackensick, Heejun Hann and Jessica Sanchez went to Eastwood Mall in Quezon City, while Hollie Cavanagh, Colton Dixon, Joshua Ledet, Skylar Laine and Phillip Phillips were at Glorietta in Makati.

Hundreds of excited fans trooped to the two malls just to catch a glimpse of their favorite Idols.

Not even the organizers were able to stop the eager fans, who expressed in their own ways how much they love the top 10.

A kid wearing the same outfit as Sanchez when she sang Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” during the competition even caught the 17-year-old singer’s attention.

Meanwhile, Han, who is obviously the group’s joker, shared a few Filipino words that he has learned during his stay in the country.

During the autograph signing, Han cracked a joke and told the audience: “Gutom na ako.”

Asked if he’s willing to try Pinoy delicacy “balut,” Han quickly answered yes for as long as the food is free.

Fans troop to Eastwood Mall in Quezon City to see their favorite Idols.

According to the Idols, they are looking forward to performing before their Filipino fans on Friday, adding that their Manila stop will definitely be the best show they are going to have.

Aside from Eastwood Mall and Glorietta, the top 10 Idols are also going to have meet-and-greet sessions at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill and at Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa.
