MANILA, Philippines - Actress Bea Alonzo is back in Manila from attending the special screening of her hit film "The Mistress" in France last week.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Alonzo said she's happy that Filipinos abroad really welcomed her project with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

"Ang warm ng pag-welcome nila sa amin, first time ko. I don't know about John Lloyd but first time ko doon. Talagang gandang ganda ako sa place. Napakabait ng mga Filipino doon. Nag-show kami after the screening. Sabi nila umiyak daw sila, nagustuhan nila 'yung pelikula so sobrang nakakatuwa talaga," said Alonzo who almost cried when she got the news that their film almost hit the P100 million mark in just its first weekend.

"Siyempre bawat isa papangarapin 'yon but you can not really expect anything, right? Kasi nga baka ma-disappoint ka. I'm just really overwhelmed now," she added.

She also thanked those who praised her performance in the film.

"Hindi ko kailangang i-validate 'yung performance ko pero kung bibigyan nila ako it will really be good and be nice para sa akin pero mahirap mag-expect like sa box office," Alonzo said.

After "The Mistress," Cruz and Alonzo will be starting work on the upcoming television series "A Beautiful Affair."
