MANILA, Philippines - Actor-director Cesar Montano admitted that he is not closing his doors to politics.

In interview with "The Buzz" on Sunday, Montano said he's not yet sure where and what position he will run for but stressed that he will never say no to helping Filipinos.

"Being a public servant eh hindi mo dapat sinasarado ang pintuan mo diyan. Sino ba ang taong tatanungin mo at sasabihin niya na ayaw kong maglingkod sa bayan lalo't ang meaning mo ay sincere ka at gusto mong tumulong sa taong bayan, that's the meaning of true public servant?" the actor said.

Last July, Montano denied speculations that he will be the running mate of Manila mayor Alfredo Lim, who will be seeking reelection next year.

Although Montano admitted meeting with Lim, he said: "Our meetings are not really politically motivated... No, Mayor Lim is not asking me to be his running mate."

Instead, the actor revealed that he was tapped to do play the lead role in a Lim bioflick set for release in December.

Currently, Montano is busy promoting his film "Biktima" with leading lady Angel Aquino and wife Sunshine Cruz.

"Biktima" will hit theaters nationwide on September 19.
