MANILA, Philippines – “I’m not afraid to fall in love.”
This was actor John Lloyd Cruz’s brave declaration that he made on “The Buzz” on Sunday.
While Cruz was initially at a loss with words when asked if he would ever fall in love with a mistress, he boldly admitted that he is willing to defy anything for love.
Actress Bea Alonzo, meantime, said she is hoping she will never be in a position of a mistress.
“Sana hindi, sana hindi ako dalahin sa pagkakataong iyon, baka hindi ko kayanin,” she said.
Cruz and Alonzo are celebrating their 10 years together as onscreen partners.
As part of the anniversary of their team-up, the two are starring in the Star Cinema movie “The Mistress” which will be shown in theaters nationwide starting September 12.
Cruz and Alonzo were one in saying they feel honored to be given the chance to work with veteran director Olive Lamasan.
“I’m still so honored na nakatrabaho ko si Inang (Lamasan). Isa siya sa mga dahilan kung bakit tinaggap ko ang proyektong ito,” said Alonzo.
As for Cruz, he said: “Suwerte kasi bihira na gumawa si Inang ng pelikula dahil malaki din ang dine-demand ng trabaho niya bilang creative director sa Star. Sa mga pagkakataon na gumagawa siya ng pelikula, masuwerte tayo na mapasama.”
Cruz and Alonzo also agreed that the they did not have a hard time doing the movie because they are already comfortable working with each other.
