Charice promotes new Hollywood film

MANILA, Philippines - Singer Charice used microblogging site Twitter on Thursday to promote her Hollywood film "Here Comes The Boom."

According to Charice, the action-comedy flick will hit theaters next month.

"Check out the trailer for my new movie HERE COMES THE BOOM - in theaters October 12! #BringTheBoom," she tweeted.


"and please join the official HERE COMES THE BOOM Facebook page at #BringTheBoom," Charice added.

"Here Comes The Boom" tells a story of a teacher who will do everything just to save the future of his students. The film stars Kevin James and Salma Hayek.

Charice also appeared in 20th Century Fox's live-action/animated film “Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel."

Meanwhile, Charice also promoted the single of her friend, "The Voice" contestant Cheesa Laureta.

"Please don't forget to support my friend, Cheesa! Download the song "I'M NOT PERFECT" feat yours truly on iTunes. :) Hope you like it," says the "The X Factor Philippines" judge-mentor.

In a previous interview, Charice confirmed her collaboration with Laureta. She said she wrote a song for Laureta.

Laureta was a contestant on the recently concluded second season of the US talent search "The Voice." The Filipino-American from Hawaii managed to make the Top 12 before she was eliminated.
