MANILA – Roughly five years since his last visit to the Philippines, “American Idol" Season 7 runner-up David Archuleta is returning to the country for a one-night concert.
Archuleta made the announcement through a video post uploaded on his official Facebook page on Tuesday.
In the clip, Archuleta said he will be coming to Manila in October for a show at the KIA Theater in Quezon City.
“I’ve got an announcement. Manila, October 20th at the KIA Theater, we’re coming to do a show. New music to share with all of you after five or six years of this separation we got. I hope to see you guys there and thank you once again for all your support all these years,” he said.
Archuleta first held a concert in the Philippines back in 2009 along with “American Idol" winner David Cook.
In 2011, Archuleta starred in a local TV series and was also tapped as an endorser of a local clothing line. The following year, he released an album containing his renditions of hit OPM songs.
