MANILA, Philippines - It was all glitz and glamour at the 4th annual Star Magic Ball on Sunday in Makati.

The country's premier and most promising stars strutted the red carpet wearing their designer gowns and suits.

Press photographers and the media were excited to see hot celebrities who were attending the ball for the first time together as a couple. They included the recently engaged Kristine Hermosa and Oyo Boy Sotto, Jake Cuenca and Melissa Ricks, John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao, and PBB lovebirds Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco.

For a change, stars like Sam Milby, Karylle, and Anne Curtis decided to come dateless for the night and mingled with various friends instead. “Tabing Ilog” beauties Jodi Sta. Maria, Kaye Abad, and Desiree Del Valle, along with Nikki Valdez, were inseparable as a group and enjoyed their girls' night out.

Like last year, hot pairs Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales, Derek Ramsay and Angelica Panganiban, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, and Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion came to the party together.

Hosts for the night JM Rodriguez and Megan Young started off the night going around the ballroom, with an impromptu chitchat with the stars. The night's program officially kicked off with a rousing "Glee"-inspired song number by budding Star Magic talents Matteo Guidicelli and Markki Stroem.

They did their own version of Charice's international hit “Pyramid” as well as “I Can't Help Falling In Love With You.”

This was followed by impressive song numbers from Jed Madela and “Pilipinas Got Talent” discovery Jovit Baldovino.

Martin Nievera, who was personally invited by Star Magic's Johnny Manahan, performed the next song number. The seasoned balladeer said he was impressed by Star Magic's stars potential and talent.

Pokwang once again ruled the dance floor, along with other promising Star Magic talents, as she showed not just flair but athleticism during a jazz-inspired number.

Awardees for this year's Star Magic awards were also equally impressive, with 2010's Star Magic King and Queen of the Night awards going to the dashing Cruz and elegant Maricar Reyes.

The Star Magic icon award was given to a visibly happy Pascual. The Best Dressed awards went to Anderson and Chiu, while the Most Stylish awards went to Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo.

Always the epitome of class, ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Cocio was named the Most Elegant Star of the Night.

None was surprised when Anne Curtis bagged the Most Glamorous award, with her fashion-forward look for the night.

Gonzales and Dee were dubbed The Most Romantic Couple for the evening while young stars Aj Perez, Joseph Marco and Jessy Mendiola won the Coke Zero Wild & Fit award.

The always bubbly Kitkat was presented the Most Fashion Forward award by Toni Gonzaga for her eye-catching ensemble.

Lastly, the Fashionista awards went to the always picture-perfect Jake Cuenca and Magdayao.
