Actor Albert Martinez remains silent about his wife Liezl's health despite persistent queries from the press. There were reports that Liezel was diagnosed with cancer but no family member, not even her mom movie icon Amalia Fuentes, has confirmed or denied them.
Martinez who is one of the cast of ABS-CBN's "Kahit Isang Saglit" attended its press conference Thursday evening, September 4 but didn't say anything about his wife.
Though, the members of entertainment media were eager to know the real score, they decided to respect Martinez' silence.
But when it comes to showbiz projects, Martinez is really one of the professionals, aside from attending the press conference he also talked about his experiences in Malaysia with actors Jericho Rosales, Carmen Soon and the rest of the cast.
Martinez said that it was not his first time to work abroad but said that it was really different taping the series in Malaysia. He thanked the Malaysian authorities for treating him and the rest of the cast like big stars from Hollywood.
"They treated as like VIPS in Malaysia, hindi kami tago ng tago, kapag may pulis tatakbo, ito yung totoong production so feeling mo para kang Hollywood stars, so I really felt good, I reall felt good," he said.
Aside from the co-production of ABS-CBN's in Malaysia, the Double Vision, he also thanked the Malaysian stars who treated them well and made their stay in work in foreign land a lot easier and memorable.
In “Kahit Isang Saglit,” Martinez was privileged to work with Malaysian stars Louisa Chong, Soosan Hoh and Awal Ashaari also co-star.
Martinez also shared that they also had an easy time working in Malaysia especially with Immigration papers because they were with Rosales.
“Kaya gumaan ang trabaho namin sa Malaysia was because of Jericho kasi kapag sa immigration hindi kami pumipila kasi kilalang kilala siya sa immigration, sa security kilala siya, lahat ng tao,” he said.
Aside from “Kahit Isan Saglit,” Martinez will soon be posing sexy for a magazine cover.
He will also appear in an independent film titled "Cul-de-sac" with Jodi Sta. Maria-Lacson, Chin-Chin Gutierrez and Sam Milby.
