MANILA -- Actress Jodi Sta. Maria will be going solo to the 8th Star Magic Ball on Saturday.
In an interview on Thursday after the press conference for the horror film "Maria Leonora Teresa," Sta. Maria said she decided to drop her original plan to bring her son Thirdy to the ball.
"Gusto ko sanang gawing date 'yung anak ko pero hindi in-allow din ng Star Magic kasi medyo late na magi-start baka ma-DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment), echos!," Sta. Maria said.
Asked if she thought of inviting her boyfriend Cavite Vice Governor Jolo Revilla to be her date, Sta. Maria replied: "I think he is busy."
Sta. Maria further said she never went to the ball with Revilla as her escort.
Revilla is the son of detained senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., who is the first lawmaker to be ordered arrested for plunder and graft charges in relation to the pork barrel scam, is currently detained at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center in Camp Crame.
In the interview, Sta. Maria again evaded questions about her relationship with the actor-politician.
"Well, I think hindi naman kaila sa inyo na kapag tungkol sa personal kong buhay ay hindi ko po masyadong pinag-uusapan," Sta. Maria said.
The celebrity couple have been together since the young Revilla’s stint in the ABS-CBN series “My Binondo Girl” back in 2011.
