MANILA - "Pinoy Big Brother" runner-up Vickie Rushton said her boyfriend, actor Jason Abalos, is still hurting over her apparent "romance" with former housemate Daniel Matsunaga during their four-month stint in the reality show.

In a live interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Thursday, Rushton said that Abalos recently spoke with her about Matsunaga, who was named the season's winner last Sunday.

While she has already clarified to Abalos that she and Matsunaga are not romantically involved, as she did in a past episode of "Pinoy Big Brother," Rushton said the actor still has questions and doubts.

"May mga questions, doubts pa rin po," she told host Kris Aquino. "Pinakuwento niya sa akin kung ano talaga 'yung mga nangyayari sa loob [ng bahay], kasi 'yun nga, hindi niya naman nakikita lahat sa loob."

Asked what she has done to re-assure Abalos of her being faithful, Rushaton said: "Iyon pa po 'yung hindi ko pa masyado nagawa, na i-assure siya. Hanggang ngayon, medyo na-hi-hurt parin siya. Kaya gusto kong bumawi rin."

Before she and Matsunaga were teased by fellow housemates as a potential couple, Rushton, earlier in the season, opened up about her frustrations about her relationship with Abalos.

Among the issues she raised were the supposed decreasing efforts of Abalos to make their relationship special, and what she referred to as a "boring" routine they have on dates.

While Abalos was allowed into the house by Big Brother at one point, the couple did not have a chance to discuss at length the issues raised by Rushton.

The 21-year-old former pageant contestant, however, denied outright that she was attracted to Matsunaga. She repeated this in subsequent interviews.

On Thursday, Rushton reiterated that she appreciated Matsunaga's efforts as a fellow housemate, but she never developed romantic feelings for him.

"Siguro kailangan po namin mag-usap talaga, at maging honest lang ako sa lahat-lahat, pati siya. Sa tingin ko, maaayos din lahat," she said.

Before last Sunday's "Big Night," Abalos, in an interview, admitted he was hurt by the issues raised by Rushton about their relationship, but acknowledged these as things he needed to address.

He only shrugged off the supposed "romance" between his girlfriend and Matsunaga as mere teasing by their fellow housemates.

However, by Rushton's admission, she and Abalos still have problems to resolve, including his doubts about her relationship with Matsunaga.

"Siguro kailangan po namin mag-usap talaga, at maging honest lang ako sa lahat-lahat, pati siya. Sa tingin ko, maaayos din lahat," she said.

Asked for her message to Abalos, Rushton expressed confidence that they will be able to patch things up. "Promise na babawi ako. Susubukan ko na maayos 'to, and alam ko, in time, maaayos lahat. I love you," she said.
