MANILA, Philippines -- Popular comedian Vice Ganda believes that October is his lucky month, considering that his two box office hits, "Petrang Kabayo" and "Praybeyt Benjamin," both opened in October.

Last year's "Praybeyt Benjamin" is now considered the biggest local box-office hit of all time.

Vice Ganda is hoping that this lucky streak continues with "This Guy's In Love With You Mare" with Luis Manzano and Toni Gonzaga, which will open also in October.

"Swerte? Oo. So gawin na nating tradisyon na kailangan may Vice Ganda-Wenn Deramas movie," Ganda said in an interview with ABS-CBN News on Monday during the pictorial for the new film.

Ganda said that he's really excited to work with Gonzaga and leading man Manzano.

'In MyLife', 'Hating Kapatid,' 'Petrang Kabayo' at 'Praybeyt Benjamin' ay kasama ko si Luis, so lucky talaga siya," he said.

Aside from "This Guy's In Love With You Mare," Vice Ganda will also do a film with friend Kris Aquino for this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

No to soaps

In the interview, Vice Ganda admitted that he can't do a television series, which will require most of his time.

Currently, Vice Ganda is co-hosting ABS-CBN's noontime show "It's Showtime" as well as the weekly show "Gandang Gabi Vice."
