MANILA - There's a reason she's called a "little superstar."
"The Voice Kids" champion Lyca Gairanod, along with her fellow finalists on the hit talent search, were greeted with wild cheers during a mini-concert at KCC Mall in General Santos City over the weekend.
Gairanod, who used to scavenge junk to help her family earn, delighted fans as she reprised "Pangarap na Bituin," "Narito Ako," and "Halik."
The nine-year-old gamely interacted with the audience and drew laughs when she shared the stage with Dionisia Pacquiao, whose rendition of "Wrecking Ball" she spoofed on TV early this month.
For the final number, Gairanod was joined by Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares. They sang Owl City's "Good Time."
Aside from starring roles in the primetime series "Hawak Kamay" and the upcoming comedy film "Praybeyt Benjamin 2," Gairanod is gearing up for her solo album and a concert tour with music veteran Lani Misalucha.
