MANILA - Host-actress Kris Aquino was the latest celebrity to take on the ice bucket challenge live on "The Buzz" on Sunday.
Aquino said it was actor Derek Ramsey, who nominated her to do the challenge on Saturday.
Since the dare was not completed within 24 hours, as per the rule, Aquino will also be donating to the ALS Association. "Here's my $100 and I'm donating it to alsa.org," she said.
Before doing the challenge, Aquino nominated ABS-CBN broadcaster Anthony Taberna, "Kris TV" writer Darla Sauler and comedian Vice Ganda to follow suit.
Co-host Toni Gonzaga and her son, James "Bimby" Yap Jr., assisted in pouring the bucket of ice-cold water on the host.
The ALS ice bucket challenge is a campaign to raise funds and awareness for people struck with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
The challenge has been received positively over the past week and various celebrities, athletes and even world leaders around the world have taken on the nominations to support the cause.
