MANILA, Philippines – It seems that talent manager Annabelle Rama is determined to run for Congress next year, even if the idea does not sit well with two of her children.

In an interview on ABS-CBN morning talk show “Kris TV” on Friday, Rama said her children Ruffa and Raymond, both in showbiz, are worried that her political plans may take a toll on her health and her job as a talent manager.

So sabi ko, bakit ayaw nila akong mag-enjoy?” said Rama, who is eyeing a congressional seat in Cebu.

Rama also promised that she will not be a “corrupt” politician, adding that she will still take care of her talents.

Phone at saka text.

“I texted him (Raymond), ‘ano ang gusto niyo, nanay niyo mag-corrupt para kumita?’ So tumahimik, hindi na nag-text back.”

It can be recalled that Ruffa used Twitter to express her feelings after she got the information that Rama was invited to run for Congress in Cebu.

"Mom @annabellerama2 excitedly tells me that she's being offered to run for Congresswoman in her hometown in Cebu. I'm like, whatttt?? Kaloka," she said.

Rama replied to Gutierrez’ tweet, saying that it wasn’t her fault that she was offered to run for the North District of Cebu.

“Bakit ka ba na shocked! Kasalanan ko ba kung ako ang napili para sa North District of Cebu?” she said.
