(L-R): Alfie Lorenzo, Judy Ann Santos and Mother Lily

MANILA - Actress Judy Ann Santos finally reacted to the recent controversy involving her manager, Alfie Lorenzo, and Regal Films matriarch Lily Monteverde.

Monteverde and Lorenzo had a bitter exchange last week during the press conference of Regal's newest offering, "Somebody To Love".

The confrontation was reportedly triggered when Lorenzo called the movie's director Jose Javier Reyes "malas" (unlucky). Lorenzo and Reyes had a rift in 2012 over the talent manager's ward, Santos, agreeing to do a film with the director allegedly without his consent.

At the sidelines of Santos' upcoming show "I Do" on ABS-CBN, Santos said she has yet to talk to Lorenzo about the incident.

"Sa totoo lang, hindi ko alam kung paano ko sasagutin because pareho ko silang mahal. Sana nga hindi na lang nangyari," she said.

"If I can only turn back that day nung nangyari 'yon, sana pwede ko siyang burahin ng liquid paper and ma-erase siya sa Internet, sa media and everything because it was an ugly situation of two friends," she added.

Santos said she can only pray for Lorenzo and Monteverde's reconciliation.

"All I can do now is to pray na sana someday ma-patch up nila 'yan kasi magkaibigan naman silang tunay... May mga bagay na hindi natin hawak, hindi ko masabi kung magiging tulay ako kasi pareho naman na silang alam nila kung ano ang ginagawa nila at hindi ako ang magiging daan para magsabi kung ano ang dapat nilang gawin dahil 'di hamak naman na mas bata ako sa kanila. At ayoko namang sabihin na dinidiktahan ko sila kasi hindi naman ako naging ganoon to begin with. All I can do now is to pray that everything to be OK. So, sana lang, sana lang hindi nangyari," she said.

"Two years ago na yan so... sana hindi na lang lumaki 'yon. It was a situation sa aming tatlo, hindi na siya dapat lumabas kasi hindi naman involved ang ibang tao doon. So that was two years ago, I never thought na aabot pa siya sa ganito."

Right now, Santos is busy promoting the reality show "I Do", which will air on ABS-CBN starting August 30.
