MANILA - "Yuck! Kadiri!"
This was the reaction of Andi Eigenmann when asked whether there is truth to rumors that she is "stalking" her former boyfriend, actor Albie Casino, three years after their controversial split.
"Marami naman akong ginagawa sa buhay ko," Eigenmann told ABS-CBN News' Gretchen Fullido on Tuesday. "Busy ako, hindi ko kailangan gawin 'yon! And no. Not at all, okay? I have better things to do with my life than do that."
Eigenmann laughed at the supposed details of her "efforts" to reconnect with Casino, like sending him food or visiting the set of his film unannounced.
"We're okay, but, like, I wouldn't make any effort to be friends with him or to give him anything at all. Bumili siya ng sarili niyang pagkain!" she said.
The 24-year-old actress clarified that she has already forgiven Casino, who is said to be the father of her daughter Ellie despite never publicly acknowledging the 2-year-old as his own.
"Walang rekindling, but we are okay," Eigenmann said. "We are friends. I have forgiven him na. Okay kami talaga. I wish him the best, pero there's no reconnecting. Walang reconnecting na nagaganap."
'Package deal' with Ellie
Eigenmann was last romantically linked with Jake Ejercito, a son of Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada with former actress Laarni Enriquez. The actress said she does not know how Ejercito is, noting that he is based overseas for his studies.
Asked if she is seeing anyone new, Eigenmann said: "Para sa akin, hindi na siguro importante kung sino ang laman. Basta I'm happy. I am in a good place. It's not my priority naman, eh. Whether or not there's a guy there, I'm fine, I'm happy. I have Ellie and my family, so all good."
The "Dyesebel" villain admitted, however, that she still wishes Ellie will have a father figure as she grows older. She cited this as the reason why she has also been careful when it comes to entertaining a potential partner.
"Of course, I wish that all the time, na parang sana ano... It would have been better if we were complete, pero that's how I am. I'm not traditional," she said. "Pero okay lang naman. Para sa akin, blessing na enough that I have Ellie. So if no one else wants to share her with me, okay lang. E 'di sa akin na lang siya!"
Explaining the qualities she is looking for in a man, Eigenmann added: "Kami ni Ellie, we're a package deal. I can't be with someone who doesn't accept that I have a child, or does not plan to get to know her."
"Para sa akin, kailangan 'yon, na this person is also capable of loving and being a part not only of my life but my daughter's also. Kung hindi, no problem, huwag na lang. For me, that's a way to get my heart, if I see that you're really into my daughter and not just me," she said.
