“In every role naman that I play, in every move naman that I do sa career ko, lagi naman siyang kasama doon. I really believe that he’s guiding me,” she told Philippine Entertainment Portal in an interview.
Poe said if only her dad were alive, he would be “much more supportive” in all her projects.
The actress said she recently visited her father’s grave at the Manila North Cemetery to greet him happy birthday.
“Recently, I went there. Nag-shoot kami ng 'Guni- Guni' sa may North Cemetery, then dumaan na rin ako,” she said.
Meanwhile, Poe said in an interview with ABS-CBN News weeks ago that she is really happy over the confirmation of the declaration of her late father as a National Artist.
Last week, President Benigno Aquino III conferred the National Artist title to the late action superstar in ceremonies attended by veteran actress Susan Roces.
“I'm just happy naman. I'm really proud of my dad. I'm so proud. For me, it wasn't necessary, as long as he lived in everyone's hearts. But I'm thankful for him to be given that. It's just amazing," Poe said.
