MANILA - Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista entered the "Pinoy Big Brother" house to officiate the long-overdue wedding of the parents of housemate Maris Racal, who had been emotional about the apparent distance between her mother and father.
In the reality show's episode on Tuesday, "Big Brother" told the housemates to get dressed to witness a wedding. Unknown to Maris, her dream of seeing her parents Henry and Leony finally exchange vows was about to unfold.
To Maris' shock, her siblings emerged to join the ceremony in the activity area, giving her a hint on the event that was about to happen. Shortly after Henry's entrance, Leony walked down the aisle.
Bautista was then called in by "Kuya" to officiate the wedding.
In the Monday episode of "Pinoy Big Brother," Henry said he and Leony have not shared a room together for years, believing it is a sin that they raised a family despite not being married.
Henry said this has strained their relationship.
Henry assured Maris, who earlier admitted that she no longer feels her parents love each other, that the situation in their home will get better once the issue is sorted.
Maris is among the last 5 housemates vying for a spot in the "Big 4," which will be determined once another contestant is evicted from the house on Saturday.
The naming of the "Big Winner" will take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay on Sunday night, with a live telecast on ABS-CBN.
