MANILA -- Viewers of the primetime series "Sana Bukas Pa ang Kahapon" can expect more exciting scenes to keep them glued to their screens, according to lead actress Bea Alonzo.
"I heard marami ang nae-excite sa catfights namin ni Sasha (Maricar Reyes). 'Di ko pwedeng i-share pero 'yung tini-taping namin ngayon eh napakaganda at may mga mare-reveal na sa mga taong dapat nakakaalam kung sino ang totoong Rose," Alonzo said, referring to her character Rose Buenavista, an heiress to a chocolate company Buena Criollo.
After a huge car explosion, Buenavista assumes the identity of lawyer Emmanuelle Romero and sets out to regain the company and to seek justice for what happened to her.
Alonzo said she is "overwhelmed" at the response to her latest soap, which also stars Paulo Avelino and Albert Martinez.
"We are all overwhelmed sa binibigay na suporta ng mga tao sa 'Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.' Kasi talagang mismong kami ay nai-inspire habang ginagawa namin. Mismo kami, we are fans of the show," she told reporters during her contract renewal with ABS-CBN.
"Gusto kong magpasalamat sa mga taong nagpapa-trend, sa mga fans naming lahat," she said.
But even while she's still busy with the primetime hit, Alonzo is already looking forward to doing a new movie, as well as out-of-the-country shows for The Filipino Channel.
Alonzo was last seen on the big screen in last year's romantic movie "She's the One" with Dingdong Dantes and Enrique Gil.
"Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon" airs weeknights after "Ikaw Lamang."
