MANILA -- Singer Frenchie Dy has truly gone full circle on the ABS-CBN game show "The Singing Bee."
On Monday, Dy, who was once a member of the Songbees on the daytime hit, won the P1-million grand prize as a contestant on the show.
Dy won the jackpot round, dubbed "Final Countdown," by guessing the right lyrics of four different songs.
"Thank you Lord, salamat po," said Dy, who won against "Pilipinas Got Talent" Season 1 grand winner Jovit Baldivino.
Dy, who was named grand champion on the second season of the talent contest "Star in a Million," is the fourth grand prize winner since the popular game show returned in November last year.
Actress Sheryl Cruz was the first millionaire, followed by "X Factor Philippines" winner KZ Tandingan and ex-"Pinoy Big Brother" housemate Bodie Cruz.
Hosted by Roderick Paulate and Amy Perez, "The Singing Bee" airs Mondays to Fridays before "Be Careful With My Heart."
