MANILA – Nadine Lustre is not bothered about comments pointing her physical resemblance to teen actress Kathryn Bernardo.
In fact, the “Talk Back and You’re Dead” lead actress said it is flattering that she is being compared to a box-office star.
“I’m very flattered na nako-compare ako sa kanya kasi she’s Kathryn Bernardo. Ako I’m just starting pa lang,” she said in an interview with Toni Gonzaga on “The Buzz.”
But while Lustre takes this positively, some netizens who do not want the two actress to be compared with each other are bashing her on social media.
“Yung mga bashers naman kasi, you can’t avoid them. Nandiyan talaga sila. Since you are in showbiz, since you are a public figure, may kasama talagang ganun. You just have to accept it lang,” she said.
Lustre is currently busy promoting “Talk Back and You’re Dead,” which she co-stars with James Reid and Joseph Marco.
Co-produced by Skylight Films and Viva Films, "Talk Back and You're Dead" is a film adaptation of the best-selling book by Alesana Marie.
Directed by Andoy Ranay, "Talk Back And You're Dead" centers on Sam (Lustre), a rich and pretty schoolgirl who gets caught between Top (Reid) and Red (Marco), both leather-clad members of the same gang.
The love story was originally uploaded on the online writing community Wattpad, where it easily became a hit. It was later picked up by PSICOM for print in July 2013.
"Talk Back And You're Dead," which will hit cinemas nationwide on August 20, marks the second time Lustre and Reid will be paired on the big screen, after the romance-comedy hit "Diary ng Panget."
