MANILA – “In God’s time and if you’ll work hard, you’ll get there.”

These were the words of box office director Cathy Garcia Molina when she had a heart-to-heart talk with Jane Oineza after she directed the short film of the “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) housemates for their task.

For this week, the housemates need to make a short film using the script given to them. They also have to get the approval of judges Tirso Cruz III, Gerald Anderson and Angelica Panganiban for their food budget next week.

As part of their task, “Kuya” tapped Molina to direct their short film.

In the Saturday episode of the reality show, the box-office director was seen calling out the housemates because they were not showing the right emotion in their respective scenes.

When it was Oineza’s turn to act, Molina felt the young actress was not giving justice to her role.

“Bakit ka nahihirapan? Ang artista hindi pwedeng nagsasara ng sakit. Maybe hindi ka talaga magaling kaya ka napag-iiwanan. Tinatanong mo bakit sila nandun na tapos ikaw nandito pa? Baka kailangan tanggapin mo yung totoo,” Molina bluntly told the young actress.

They then resumed their taping with Oineza completing her scene in tears.

Molina then immediately approached the celebrity housemate to offer her a tight hug, saying: “Alam mong hindi totoo 'yun. Hindi dapat.”

When they packed up their taping, Molina congratulated everyone for a job well done, but she specifically took Oineza with her to the pool area to have a heart-to-heart talk.

Sharing to the young actress her experience when she was still starting out, Molina said: “When I was starting to direct, may mga kasabayan din akong nauna pa ako. I was ahead of them. Nauna sila nag-direct. Siyempre ako, pride, medyo parang ‘Bakit ganun? Bakit nauna sila sa akin?’ And then finally, I got the break to become a director. Tapos sabi nila, okay naman daw ako pero wala akong projects. Sila nagdi-direct na sila ng soaps. Umiiyak na ako.”

“Sabi ko sa mentor ko, ‘Sabi nila marunong naman ako, pero bakit sila director na, bakit sila ang dami daming trabaho, bakit ako wala?’ Sabi ni Inang sa akin, ‘Anak, never compare yourself to anyone,’” Molina added.

Now turning to Oineza, the director said she should also not compare herself with others and just focus on what she loves doing.

“Kanya kanya tayong buhay. Isubsob mo lang ang ulo mo sa trabaho. Trabaho ka lang ng trabaho. Do the best in everything that you do. Isang araw, pag-angat ng mata mo, wala na sila sa harap mo. Paglingon mo, ang layo mo na pala sa kanila,” she sadi.

Saying everyone needs to work hard for their dreams, Molina told Oineza: “In God’s time and if you’ll work hard, you’ll get there.”

Back in the confession room, Molina also told “Kuya” that she is hoping the young actress’ career would blossom even more after her "PBB" stint.

“She’s got what it takes para maging artista. Sabi ko in time. I think it’s Jane’s time to be noticed. Sana mas magkaroon or mas umasenso yung career nung bata after PBB,” Molina said.

The result of the housemates’ weekly task will be revealed Sunday night.
