MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN's primetime series "Walang Hanggan" continues to lead in the ratings game after its controversial stabbing scene last Wednesday.

The episode, which showed Nathan (Paulo Avelino) stabbing himself after a heated fistfight with his half-brother Daniel (Coco Martin), garnered a rating of 37.8%, according to Kantar Media.

After he stabbed himself, Nathan asked his adopted sister Johanna (Melissa Ricks) to bring him to the hospital and make it appear that it was Daniel who hurt him.

"Walang Hanggan" is expected to maintain its high ratings with the anticipated wedding of Emily (Dawn Zulueta) and Marco (Richard Gomez).

The primetime show airs weeknights after "Princess and I."
