MANILA - "Pinoy Big Brother" co-host Bianca Gonzalez on Friday lashed back at critics bringing up her past romance with then-fellow housemate Zanjoe Marudo at the time she was still in a relationship with TV director Lino Cayetano.
In a post on Facebook, Gonzalez addressed "bashers" who have been leaving comments on her page in relation to the 2006 controversy involving Marudo and Cayetano.
A number of these comments appear to be from supporters of current housemate Jane Oineza, who they claim has been "misjudged" by Gonzalez in connection with the young actress' apparent closeness with fellow housemate Joshua Garcia.
"To all my bashers posting here on my Facebook page, welcome!" Gonzalez said.
At the time, Gonzalez and Marudo were both contestants of the show's first "Celebrity" edition. She was a rising TV host, while he was a sought-after model. The became romantically involved inside the house even though Gonzalez was in a relationship with Cayetano.
Gonzalez added that all the parties involved have moved on, pointing out that they each have their respective partners.
Cayetano, now congressman of Taguig, married volleyball player Fille Cainglet last December.
Marudo has been in a relationship with actress Bea Alonzo for three years now, while Gonzalez is engaged to basketball player JC Intal.
Kapag in-accept mo talaga ang pagkakamali mo o ang kahinaan mo, mas madali mo itong malalampasan," she said.
I love bashers because they keep me grounded."
