MANILA - The only daughter of Hollywood actor Robin Williams bid goodbye to social media to grieve in peace.

The 25-year-old actress decided to deactivate her Twitter and Instagram accounts after receiving negative messages about her father's death.

Williams stated that she has yet to decide if she will be deleting both accounts temporarily or for good.

On Instagram, Williams wrote: "In this difficult time, please try to be respectful of the accounts of myself, my family and my friends."

She added: "Mining our accounts for photos of dad, or judging me on the number of them is cruel and unnecessary. There are a couple throughout, but the real private moments I shared with him were precious, quiet, and believe it or not, not full of photos or 'selfies'."

Earlier, she posted a statement regarding her father's death on Tumblr. "My last day with him was his birthday, and I will be forever grateful that my brothers and I got to spend that time alone with him, sharing gifts and laughter. He was always warm, even in his darkest moments," she said, in a post on her Tumblr page.

The Oscar-winning actor and comedian was found dead by his personal assistant in his Northern California home on Monday. He was 63.

His last post on Instagram was a birthday greeting for his daughter Zelda.

Zelda is one of the two children of Williams with his second wife, Filipina-American philanthropist, Marsha Garces. Williams has another child named Zachary Pym with his first wife Valerie Velardi.
