MANILA - Singer Aiza Seguerra and his fiancee, actress Liza Dino, will stage this month a one-night concert that recounts their love story -- from their first meeting 13 years ago, to preparations leading up to their upcoming wedding.
Dubbed "High On Love," the concert will be held at the Music Museum in San Juan City on August 22. Part of the show's proceeds, Seguerra said, will go to the production of a film promoting awareness about the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual) community.
In a live interview on radio DZMM Wednesday, Dino said: "We're sharing our talents para maka-mount kami ng movie na susuportahan din namin, dahil naniniwala kami doon sa cause ng film."
The concert will feature Dino dancing flamenco and Seguerra performing with his band -- a first-of-it-kind collaboration for the couple.
"I never thought it would happen," said Dino. "It's the same concert, same romantic evening with Aiza and his songs, but with flamenco."
"Atsaka 'yung pinaka concert, 'yung theme niya, it's the journey of our love story through songs, simula noong nagkakilala kami, nagkahiwalay, nagkita ulit," she added.
In July, Dino told ABS-CBN News that Seguerra now identifies himself as a man, but clarified that the singer has no plans yet of undergoing a gender re-assignment surgery.
The two are planning get married in the United States.
