MANILA, Philippines -- An ominous presence once "tricked" him into strangling his wife, actor James Blanco shared.

Blanco candidly related with a group of reporters on Thursday his experience with paranormal entities, including an isolated case when a "small lady" caused harm to him and his family.
The former teen star, who expressed concern over having a "third eye," said the incident happened when they were still living in BF Homes Paranaque. His earlier similar "encounters," Blanco related, had caused his wife to be concerned over his sanity at one point.
So kung minsan iniisip, kathang isip natin," Blanco said during a press conference for upcoming horror film "Guni Guni."
The returning actor, who is currently part of ABS-CBN's "Lorenzo's Time," recalled that one mysterious entity somehow comepelled him to strangle his wife. Things would have turned for the worse had it not been for his presence of mind, Blanco recounted.
Tapos sinakal ko," he said.
"Buti nalang presence of mind ko -- wife ko, wife ko pala 'yung sinasakal kong ganyan," Blanco added.
The incident involving his wife -- they were wed in civil rites in 2002 -- wasn't the last of such encounters. The subsequent brushes with the "small lady" prompted them to have a house blessing to rid their home of the evil presence.
"Pina-bless namin 'yung nire-rent namin.
The "Lorenzo" star and his family has since moved residence, but Blanco said he still occassionally feels paranormal presence in their current home.
"Ako pinagdadasal ko naman, hanggat hindi kami sinasaktan, hindi kami nagkakasakit, okay naman sakin," he said.
