MANILA – “Hindi na kami friends.”

This is what Alex Gonzaga told entertainment site Pep in an interview when asked about the current status of her friendship with Ryan Bang following the latter’s admission that he got offended by one of the jokes of the “Pure Love” actress.

Lesson learned,” she said.

Gonzaga said she already apologized to Bang over her “bad joke” which the “It’s Showtime” host said offended him.

Gonzaga said she was surprised that Bang said such a thing in an interview when he could have just told her personally since they are in constant communication.

Nonetheless, Gonzaga said she apologized to Bang because she never meant to hurt his feelings. One of the actress’ jokes on Bang was that she called the “It’s Showtime” host ugly.

Kasi nung unang usap namin, right after the guestings, sabi niya okay daw siya,” she said.

Saying this incident taught her a lesson, Gonzaga said: “Dun sa nangyari sa amin ni Ryan, lesson learned na lang, na don’t get close to someone na ‘di mo pa naman talaga nakakasama for years. Friendship talaga is also earned, yung tiwala sa isa’t isa, yung pagiging kumportable. Hindi ito pinipilit talaga.”

In July, Alex shot down Bang's hopes of being in a relationship with her on live TV when, during the "Sine Mo 'To" segment of "It's Showtime," Gonzaga reiterated that she only wants to be friends with the comedian.
