MANILA - Cheridel Alejandrino, more popularly known as the "elevator girl," dismissed claims that she didn't audition for the reality TV series "Pinoy Big Brother" (PBB).

In an interview on "Tapatan Ni Tunying" aired Thursday, the former elevator operator revealed that she lined up like everyone else, before earning the chance to enter the famous yellow house.

"Nag-audition po ako at pumila," she told host Anthony Taberna.

Last June, Alejandrino replaced actress Alex Gonzaga in the competition initially as a "guest" housemate.

She was eventually handed the opportunity to win the grand prize when she was named an official housemate a week later.

She then caught the ire of netizens when she was involved in a spat with housemate Fifth Pagotan, and was eventually ousted after garnering the least number of votes for the show's 8th eviction night.

Asked about what she learned inside the PBB house, Alejandrino said that she grew to become more tolerant and understanding, especially towards teenagers.

So kailangan ko po habaan 'yung pasensya," she said.

Alejandrino said that she still cannot believe the blessings that came her way, which began when a video clip of her antics went viral online.

She revealed that she was able to finally buy a bed, a refrigerator, and other household items she thought important but could not afford before.

Alejandrino added that she is excited to finally marry her first-ever boyfriend, whom she has been with for over a decade.

She admitted that the only reason why they could not marry before was because of financial constraints.
