MANILA – Kim Chiu and Alex Gonzaga gamely faced Bea Alonzo, who interviewed the them on life, love and the theme of the upcoming movie, “The Love Affair.”
The video, which was uploaded last Sunday by My Chos appeared to have been taken backstage during the variety show "ASAP."
Among the questions asked by Alonzo was if they believe in forever
“Ako oo naniniwala ako sa forever. There’s love, hope and faithfulness,” Chiu candidly said.
Gonzaga, however, disagreed. “Hindi ako naniniwala kasi to see is to believe. Wala pa eh. Wala pa sa akin,” she said.
Chiu and Gonzaga also shared their thoughts about women who enter into a relationship with a married man.
“Desperada siya. Agad-agad iyan,” Gonzaga said without any hesitations.
But Chiu was quick to defend: “Love 'yan. Walang mali sa love. Nagmahal lang siya. It’s a matter of choice.”
Meanwhile, the two finally agreed when they were asked if it is possible for a person to be happy even without a partner in life.
They were also in agreement when they answered the question posed in the trailer of “The Love Affair” which goes: “Does getting hurt give you the right to hurt back?”
“Dati ganyan ako. Pero napatunayan ko na kapag ginawa mo lang ‘yun, magbabalikan lang kayo ng sakit. Hindi matatapos ang sakit. Tapusin mo na. Sinabi sa Bible ‘di ba, kapag sinampal ka, ibigay mo ang kaliwa. Kapag binato ka, batuhin mo ng tinapay. So huwag natin silang gantihan,” Gonzaga explained.
As for Chiu, she said: “Forgiveness talaga is the key to a happy life. If you learn how to forgive, magkakaroon ka ng magandang buhay.”
Aside from Alonzo, “The Love Affair” also stars Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. It is set to be released on August 12.
