MANILA - Jinri Park moved one step closer to becoming the winner of "Pinoy Big Brother" after outlasting her fellow celebrity housemates in a challenge, which earned her an automatic place in the reality show's supposed "finale."
Park, along with Hideo Muraoka and the tandem of Hashtags members McCoy de Leon and Nikko Natividad (who are considered as one housemate), were tasked to hold a balloon over a pile of nails. This, after garnering the highest scores from an earlier challenge.
The one who can hold their balloon the longest in midair wins.
Park had an early advantage after she received the most number of stars from the other remaining celebrity housemates. She began the challenge seven minutes after Muraoka and Natividad, who was standing for De Leon, did.
"I'm kinda overwhelmed. I don't know what to feel as of the moment. It doesn't feel real yet," said Park afterwards, adding that she drew inspiration from those who believed in her.
The last spot in the "finale" reserved for the celebrity housemates will be determined through public votes. Voting will end Friday night.
Details about the "finale" have yet to be revealed. It remains unclear how exactly the show will determine its grand winner.
The celebrity housemates are expected to exit the "PBB" house Friday to make way for the teen housemates, who are being slowly revealed in recent days. Among the notable introductions was that of Rita Gabiola, more popularly known as "Badjao Girl."
