MANILA - Television host Kris Aquino has remained mum on her impending showbiz comeback after she took a break due to health problems.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Tuesday, Aquino evaded the question when asked about when she is going to work again. "Ay, I don't want to say. Surprise," she said with a meaningful smile.
About two weeks ago, Aquino checked in at the ABS-CBN compound, saying she has a meeting to discuss her "return to TV."
Instead of divulging details on what transpired during the meeting, Aquino shared her excitement about watching Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson's movie "How To Be Yours."
Aquino and Alonzo were together on Tuesday when they surprised moviegoers by gracing a public screening of the film at a Quezon City mall. "When I saw it lang, I text her right away to say 'Uy ang ganda-ganda mo, manood tayo.' Ganun lang," she said.
According to Aquino, it has been her and Alonzo's tradition to watch together every time the actress has a film.
"Every movie niya, we try to watch it together tapos sabi ko dating gawi. Gagawin lang namin. I'm just excited kasi sabi ko maganda yng idea ng 'How To Be Yours' because we all have to learn how to be someone else's."
Alonzo, for her part, could not hide her "kilig" that Aquino is supporting her movie again. "Kinikilig ako. Nakaka-touch kasi si ate, tradition talaga namin ito every movie tapos hindi namin nakakalimutan," she said.
It was unfortunate, however, that Anderson was not able to join them as he is still in transit from a show in Canada.
Directed by Dan Villegas, "How To Be Yours" is the first-ever project of former couple Alonzo and Anderson.
