MANILA, Philippines – Actress Iza Calzado denied that there is a growing rift between her and “Kahit Puso’y Masaktan” co-star Andi Eigenmann.
According to speculatons, the gap started when Eigenmann strongly slapped Calzado during the taping for a scene of the primetime series.
But Calzado said there’s no truth to the issue, stressing that she and Eigenmann are both professional actors.
“Huwag na natin palakihin ang issue. It wasn’t even that painful. I’m a professional actor who has experienced so many slaps in this industry and some of it are even more painful than Andi’s,” Calzado said.
Calzado also stressed that people should stop being critical about Eigenmann, who has become close to her since they began working on the show.
“Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” is Calzado’s first television series of Calzado on ABS-CBN and the comeback project of Eigenmann after giving birth last November.
Directed by Wenn Deramas, “Kahit Puso’y Masugatan” airs weeknights on ABS-CBN after “Lorenzo’s Time.”
