MANILA, Philippines – Singer and actress Ciara Sotto said her mother Helen Gamboa is currently doing well after she figured in an accident last week at the set of the top-rating series “Walang Hanggan.”

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Sotto said Gamboa is just taking a rest.
“Everything's normal naman, she's okay and she just has to rest and take it easy talaga... Hindi na talaga puwede araw-araw nagte-taping siya,” she said.
Gamboa, who plays Doña Margaret in the primetime series, was brought to a hospital in Marikina City last July 23 after she was accidentally hit by actor Richard Gomez while shooting a scene.
"It was an accident sa isang eksena namin, kasi binaril ako, so pagtama sa akin bumagsak ako, eh si Tita Helen nasa likod ko," Gomez told ABS-CBN News.
The actor, who portrays Doña Margaret's son Marco, said he was relieved that his co-actor Ogie Diaz managed to prevent Gamboa's head from hitting the floor.
"Noong bumagsak ako, tumama ako kay Tita Helen and that made her fall. It's a good thing bago tumama ulo ni Tita Helen, nasalo siya ni Ogie Diaz," Gomez added.
Meanwhile, actress Melissa Ricks, who is also part of “Walang Hanggan,” revealed the audience should watch out for more action-packed scenes in the upcoming weeks.
“Malalaman na kung sino ang kumuha kay Katerina (Julia Montes). Si Nathan (Paulo Avelino) nakakatakot lalo,” Ricks said.
Ricks also shared what the viewers should expect from Dawn Zulueta’s and her characters.
“Si Joanna (Rics) lalong nagiging palaban, she really does not want Emily (Zulueta) to be in her family so gagawa siya talaga ng paraan para mawala si Emily,” she said.
The drama series, which has the distinction of breaching the 40% TV ratings mark, airs weeknights during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block. – from a report by Gretchen Fullido, ABS-CBN News
