MANILA, Philippines – An overwhelmed Jessica Sanchez, appearing on a big white screen for her very first Skype Party at SM Megamall on Sunday, was at a loss for words when she saw the many Filipino fans who showed up.
“I’m not even there and there’s so many people there watching right now... It’s crazy, guys,” the “American Idol” season 11 runner-up exclaimed.
Sanchez gamely interacted with her fans, who were all eager to have a moment with the 16-year-old Filipino-Mexican-American singer.
The young singer shared she is currently working on her debut album, which will have a lot of fun music. She also revealed that it won’t include any collaborations yet but said she is looking forward to doing one in the future.
Asked what would make her quit music, she said: “Nothing. Music is my dream, it’s my life. It’s always been there.”
Meanwhile, Sanchez expressed how much she appreciates her fans.
“You're the best. You guys are amazing. You've been there for me, I’m here for you, I love you, guys. Thank you,” she said.
Despite her hectic schedule after “Idol,” Sanchez said she doesn't get tired because she is never lacking in inspiration.
“You guys inspire me. It's crazy! I'm so excited to see you guys,” she said.
Asked what she is expecting for the upcoming "Idol" tour in Manila this September, Sanchez said: “I don’t know what to expect. I love you guys so much and I can’t wait to see all of you. I hope I can get to meet everybody and just hug every single one of you... I was pushing for the world tour to end up in Manila, I can't wait to see you all.”
