MANILA, Philippines -- Actress and host Kris Aquino attended the third State of the Nation Address (SONA) of her brother, President Benigno Aquino III, on Monday afternoon with her friend, host Boy Abunda.
The President's youngest sister took to microblogging site Twitter during her brother's speech, as she tweeted key points of the SONA. She even used the hashtag #proudsister in one of her tweets.
She also posted a photo in her Instagram account.
Aquino also re-tweeted some of the posts of her followers, congratulated the President.
Joan Colado said, "Just watched SONA and I must say na hndi ako nagkamali ng binoto for president! Good job po."
Francis Flores said: "Sarap maging Pilipino sa panahong eto. Mabuhay ka, Presidente Noynoy Aquino! Hindi ka nag-iisa, kami ay kasama."
After the speech ended, Aquino tweeted: "Headed back to my taping. Thank you to all for your positive tweets. Will certainly show PNoy."
Aquino earlier said she invited the host of the showbiz talk show "The Buzz" to accompany her to the Batasang Pambansa for her brother's third SONA.
She wore a yellow gown made by fashion designer Randy Ortiz and paired earrings from Candy Dizon.
Aquino's other sisters, Pinky Aquino-Abellada and Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, were also present.
Other celebrities spotted at the Batasan on Monday were Assunta de Rosi, wife of Rep. Jules Ledesma; Rep. Manny Pacquiao; Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez with husband actor Richard Gomez; actress Dawn Zulueta, the wife of Davao del Norte Rep. Anton Lagdameo Jr.; Rep. Lani Mercado and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.
Senator-actor Jinggoy Estrada with father, former President Joseph Estrada, were also present.
