MANILA - Former president Joseph Estrada is excited to be making films again after 22 years of hiatus.

For his comeback film, Estrada is teamed up with ace comedienne Ai-Ai delas Alas. The two are set to begin filming a comedy movie under Star Cinema.

Estrada, who will play a strict father to his six children, said the whole family can watch his upcoming movie.

He also assured the moviegoers that they will not only enjoy watching it but, more importantly, they will learn a lot from the family-oriented film.

Estrada is also proud of his on-screen partner. During his imprisonment, the deposed leader, who was convicted of plunder, said he would always watch Delas Alas’ films.

Greatest achievement

For Delas Alas, on the other hand, doing a project with the former president is one of her greatest achievements as an actress.

The comedy queen, who will play Estrada’s wife, said the still untitled flick will also be different compared with her other family-oriented movies.

Toni Gonzaga, Thou Reyes, Janus del Prado, AJ Perez, Carl Camo and Sam Milby are also part of the film. Dionisia Pacquiao, mother of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao, will also make a special appearance.

Produced by Star Cinema, the upcoming comedy movie will be directed by award-winning Wenn Deramas.
