MANILA -- From six young artists, only four made it to the grand finals of "The Voice Kids," after Edray Teodoro of Team Bamboo, and Winston "Ton-Ton" Cabiles Jr. of Team Lea failed to make the cut on Sunday.
On the live results show of "The Voice Kids," Teodoro, Cabiles, and their fellow finalists Lyca Garainod, Darren Espanto, Darlene Vibrares, and Juan Karlos Labajo once again showcased their skills in several performances with coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo.
The Top 3 male artists Cabiles, Espanto and Labajo grooved to the song "One Way or Another," while Vibrares, Garainod and Teodoro wowed the crowd with their rendition of the hit song "Let It Go."
The six finalists also rocked with Kamikazee's front man Jay Contreras in their performance of the song "Narda."
Teodoro's 'Beautiful' performance
On Saturday's live performance,Teodoro sang Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," a song that fit her perfectly.
She mentioned during her Blind auditions that she was bullied in school because of her weight.
During the rehearsals, Teodoro told her coach, Bamboo, that she somehow feels pressured because of the other contestants.
Bamboo advised her to just focus on the song and her performance.
After her performance, Geronimo commended Teodoro for her unique voice.
"You are very, very, very beautiful. That was very beautiful singing, at siyempre pa, one good thing about you Edray, kasi, you never let anyone tell you who and what you should be, especially in this competition, usong-uso ang mga bumibirit, pero never kang nagpapressure dun. You are original, keep it that way. At akala ko magaling ka noong Battles, noong Sing Offs, pero pinakamagaling ka tonight."
Cabiles and his 'angelic voice'
Cabiles, meanwhile, serenaded the crowd with a soothing rendition of the late Michael Jackson's hit, "One Day in Your Life," during Saturday's live performance.
"Very improved performer ka nga. You just got better and better and better, and watching you there, you have the angelic voice among the six, that's just your quality. Tonight, with how you sang, bumuka 'yung langit para sa iyo," Salonga told Cabiles after his performance.
Bamboo also praised Cabiles, saying the song choice "perfectly" matched the Cebuano's personality.
