MANILA - Cebu's charming son Juan Karlos Labajo again blended his pleasing personality with his singing talent during his semi-final performance on the "The Voice Kids" held Saturday.
During the live show at Resorts World Manila, the 14-year-old sang Dean Martin's "Sway" which had the packed crowd dancing to his every note.
Talagang you listened to your coach at in-apply mo sa performance mo tonight."
For his part, Bamboo Manalac, who mentored the young artist, refused to take credit for the performance.
The OPM rock star admitted he had very little to do with how Labajo sang the song, adding that he exceeded expectations.
"You are just a natural. Hindi 'yan natuturo. Wala akong naturo diyan eh, wala talaga. It's all you. At ang ganda ng pinapakita mo, 'yung progression," he explained.
"You just showed that you are a complete package -- you have the personality, you have it all," he added.
Before his performance, actress Kim Chiu expressed support for Labajo, who earlier said he had a crush on the 24-year-old.
Labajo recently lost her mother to sickness. The Filipino-German shared that it was her mother's wish to become a singer, and that she was one of the primary reasons why he joined the competition.
