MANILA, Philippines -- Actor Coco Martin admitted that with his busy schedule doing films and ABS-CBN's hit television series "Walang Hanggan," he came close to burning out.

Hindi ako nakakapag-gym, 'yung instructor ko ang pumupunta sa taping at 'di ako nagdi-dinner para makapag-work out lang," he said during the press conference for the Cinemalaya entry, "Sta.

But the actor was quick to add that he's really thankful to have so many projects and that he has gotten used to his hectic work schedule.

May dalawang araw yata na wala akong ginagawa, parang na-depressed ako," he said.

To avoid from burning out, he said he usually turns to his friends and just relax.

"Pumupunta ako sa mga kaibigan ko, binabalikan ko 'yung mga nami-miss ko, dati kong kakuwentuhan , mga kaibigan," he said.

Martin returns to the indie scene with his latest project, "Sta. Niña," with Alessandra de Rossi, which will be shown at the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival, which opens on Friday.
