MANILA, Philippines -- Actress Charee Pineda believes that her career won't be affected after her recent engagement to her non-showbiz boyfriend.

Pineda also clarified that despite her engagement, she isn't walking down the aisle soon.

Wala pang usapan talaga kung kailan kami ikakasal o anumang date," she said.

Pineda said she isn't putting a deadline for getting married.

Pineda said her boyfriend proposed to her in Hong Kong.

Kahit 'yung mom ko, kasi bata siya noong nagpakasal, kaya open kami sa ganoon," she said.

Pineda, who is 22, said her boyfriend is 10 years older than her.

Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto

In the interview, Pineda also admitted that she feels pressured with her new afternoon series "Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto," the sequel of the hit "Angelito Batang Ama," headlined by JM de Guzman.

The actress said what makes the work easier is the fact that she already knows her character and that she will be working with the same actors.

"Ngayon mas kumportable, pero kailangang mag-effort kasi mas mabigat ang eksena na gagawin namin," she said.
