MANILA – John Prats did not mince words in saying that he would not allow his one-year-old daughter Feather to enter showbiz at a young age.
In an exclusive interview with entertainment site Push, Prats said he wants Feather to have normal experiences growing up just like any other child.
“As much as possible kung puwede ko pang i-hold gagawin ko. Siguro sa commercial okay lang, pero I don’t want her na pumasok ng bata pa. Siguro kung gusto niyang pumasok, kapag nagkaedad na siya ng mga 16 or 17. Kung gusto niyang mag-artista, sana mga ganung age,” he said.
Prats, however, clarified that he will not stop Feather from joining the entertainment industry if she shows interest.
“Ayaw ko lang na nakawin sa kanya 'yung pag-aaral niya, 'yung childhood niya. Pagka nagkaisip na siya at nakita ko namang gusto, hindi mo na mapipigilan 'yon. So pag gusto niya, wala naman akong magagawa,” he said.
According to Prats, he is very fortunate to have Isabel Oli as his wife because she’s really more hands-on when it comes to family matters.
“Talagang ayaw niyang mag-work until ma-mold si Feather. Kung may project like ‘MMK,’ ‘Ipaglaban Mo’ o hosting, okay sa kanya 'yon. Pero sobrang happy siya na maging full-time mom,” he said.
In a previous interview, Prats said he and Oli are already planning to have another baby soon.
